Interim use Inseli: Wednesday night is 'Uni-Night'
On 1st July, the Inseli interim use starts with a catering offer and events. Every Wednesday evening is 'Uni-Night' with accessible educational formats for the general population. All university members are called upon to contribute ideas or organise events. These can be (pre-)readings, podiums, discussions, TED talks or seminars. Students can contact the student organisation SOL with concrete suggestions. Binding proposals for events from August onwards can be sent to sol_inforemove-this.@remove-this.stud.unilu.ch by mid-June.
Public meeting place
The Inseli is to be used as an interim public meeting place and the local population is to benefit from a multifunctional revitalisation of the area. As a platform for interactive discovery, learning and living together, the interim use is understood as a 'project in progress'. From July 2023, various offers are to be made on the square, sometimes for longer periods, sometimes for shorter periods. Partners are also to be recruited to play a role in the square and infrastructures and to jointly create something new within the interim use time period.
Event, gastronomy, play and exercise zone
The former car park will be divided into three zones. The northern part (entrance on the KKL side) will be designed as an event area where events of various kinds can be held with a small stage and seating. The middle area is intended for catering with partially covered seating. Further south is the area for games and exercise.
