Collaboration on RDM Modules
The University of Lucerne is committed to improving its research data management training for researchers, ensuring they possess the necessary tools to manage their research data effectively. As part of a swissuniversities project, we are developing 3 RDM modules. During the spring semester, we will conduct an introductory module for researchers across all disciplines, covering the fundamental principles of research data management. This module will be founded upon pre-existing teaching materials. Additionally, we will develop and introduce two modules of greater depth: one centered on qualitative research data and the other tailored for quantitative data. For the development of the advanced modules, we would like to find out what challenges researchers face in connection with (qualitative or quantitative) research data. We will then address these issues in more detail. In the context of these advanced modules, we are also interested in input from researchers for researchers (e.g. on data standards or anonymization of qualitative data). Would you like to contribute? Then please get in touch with Yvonne Fuchs (yvonne.fuchs@unilu.ch). How extensive your participation will be depends on how much you want to contribute – our approach is highly flexible in this regard. These contributions are of course remunerated.
