Matteo Frey (TF), Aline Leimann (RF), Alexander Ort (GWM), Antonia Steigerwald (KSF)
Tess Bardy (GWM)
«I am a PhD student in Health Economics, a teaching assistant, and a member of the Center for Health, Policy and Economics. I am currently working on the health insurance literacy of the Swiss population. I would be delighted to join the board of the Mittelbau Organisation of the University of Lucerne (MOL). As part of the MOL, I am convinced my motivation, ideas and international profile can actively shape the university. In doing so, I hope I can help improve the current and future working environment for the mid-level faculty staff.»
MOL-REPRESENTATION IN THE RESEARCH COMMISSION (FOKO)
Sarah Mantwill (GWM)
"As a research manager, firmly anchored in the mid-level faculty, it is of great concern to me to bring the interests and experiences of the mid-level faculty at our university to the Research Commission. Broadly positioned at the postdoctoral level in terms of methodology and content, I have a strong interest in participating in the development and coordination of university research strategy and policy in a way that is fair to all stakeholders. I can certainly bring my daily work and related experience, which includes a lot of strategy work in addition to coordinating various research groups, doctoral programs, and other stakeholders, to the Research Commission in a way that is profitable for the mid-level faculty staff."
Johannes Saal (KSF)
"Research is my professional passion and a central part of my work as a postdoc at the University of Lucerne. In recent years, I have repeatedly benefited from third-party funding, which has privileged me to pursue my research interests without major time and financial constraints. As MOL representative in the research commission (FoKo), I hope to be able to give something back in the future and, above all, to enable further talented young researchers to pursue an academic career. In doing so, I can also bring a broad personal experience with the FoKo of the University of Lucerne as well as the SNF (GSL start-up funding, Doc.CH, Doc.Mobility, NCCR application, SNF project application). Furthermore, I am well acquainted with the funding landscape in Switzerland, Germany, and Europe. After regularly participating in GSL management meetings as a liaison officer during my PhD and representing the interests of PhD students there, I would like to continue to be active in supporting the Mittelbau (especially in times of its precarization)."
MOL-REPRESENTATION IN THE Ad Hoc Commission Sustainability
Viviane Dettling (RF)
«Sustainability concerns us all - including myself, especially in the context of my doctoral thesis. However, I would like to do something good for the environment, not only with "ordinary" / "everyday" sustainability actions (such as using public transports or a bicycle instead of a car). I would like to actively participate in the sustainability efforts of the University of Lucerne by joining the Commission Sustainability. Thanks to my participation in a relevant information event, I know that the general sustainability development in the Canton of Lucerne - within the sustainability strategy - is progressing rapidly. It is therefore the right time for me to actively participate in and commit to this development.»
MOL-REPRESENTATION IN THE Mensa Echogroup
Lea Keller (RF)
«Animal welfare and environmental protection are very near to my heart - this is why I am writing my dissertation on the topic of "Protecting the rainforests with the help of criminal law - an investigation into the economic steering criminal law for imports from Indonesia and Brazil". Based on the conviction that our diet is an important lever for promoting animal welfare and effectively protecting our environment, I have chosen a vegan diet for myself. The vegetarian/vegan offer of Mensa 1574 meets my needs accordingly - in the Mensa Echogroup, however, I do not want to represent my interests or the interests of third parties, but exclusively those of all members of the mid-level faculty staff. I do so in the hope of contributing to a sustainable University of Lucerne.»
