Dear members of the MOL
With today's mail, we give a short report of the past kick-off event of the MOL working groups and call attention to upcoming events. In addition, we announce a summer break of the MOL meetings for the months July and August. A big thank you goes out to all the participants who contributed to each MOL meeting and turned it into an exciting and valuable experience. Since the format has proven itself, we will announce the new rotation in good time.
With best regards Your MOL Board
Monika Plozza (RF), Naemi Jacob (WF), Noemi Honegger (TF), Sandra Gratwohl (KSF), Tanya Kasper Wicki (GWM)
In this section, MOL representatives or members of the board introduce themselves to give an insight into the many activities in which MOL members are involved.
Today in focus: Monika Plozza, PhD student and research associate at the Chair for International, Constitutional and Comparative Law of Prof. Dr. Martina Caroni, LL.M. (Yale) as well as a member of the MOL board.
"Every university needs a strong mid-level faculty. The MOL can actively shape the current and future working and research conditions of the scientific staff members. That's why I participate in the academic self-governance as MOL board member because the future belongs to junior scholars!"
WG Diversity and WG Women* in Science
The WG Diversity and the WG Women* in Science start their work. The first meetings will take place on Monday, 7 June 2021 from 5-6pm (WG Diversity) and on Thursday, 10 June 2021 from 5-6pm (WG Women* in Science) via ZOOM. You are welcome to participate and add your voice. For more information, please visit our website.
Kick-Off event of the working groups
On May 6th, the kick-off event of the MOL working groups took place via ZOOM. At this point, a big thank you for the great turnout! After introductory words of the board regarding the organizational form of a working group, Markus Schreiber presented the successes of the Sustainability Working Group achieved so far and gave valuable and practical tips to the other working groups, which are just about to take off. The first think tank then started in breakout rooms. For the WG Diversity and the WG Women* in Science, another individual kick-off event is already scheduled (see above). Interested parties can contact us at any time at molremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch.
