Dear Students
We are in the middle of the fall semester and the exam period is already on the horizon - as a first sign of this, exam registration starts tomorrow, Thursday. Below you will find all other important information about the examinations at the Faculty of Economics and Mangement (WF). To make sure everything runs smoothly for you, we recommend that you read them carefully. After the unplanned switch to purely digital teaching formats last semester, the University of Lucerne has opted for a hybrid approach this semester. Digital teaching formats offer a number of advantages and enable the inclusion of all students in the teaching process. Nevertheless, my lecturer colleagues and I were very pleased to meet some of you again on site. It is a pity, that we now have to switch back to purely digital, but it is necessary due to the current situation.
Regardless of the way of teaching, I wish you continued exciting insights and much success with your examinations.
Warm regards Prof. Dr. Christoph A. Schaltegger Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management

Exams & Corona
We still plan to hold the written examinations in December 2020 and January 2021 in attendance mode. Further information on the modalities of the implementation, in particular on security precautions, deregistration in case of illness or due to quarantine, will follow in a separate e-mail by mid-November at the latest.
Vulnerable persons who are unable to take part in the on-site examinations for medical reasons must submit a request to the examination administration (wf-pruefungenremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch) by e-mail within the UniPortal registration period until 12 November 2020 and enclose a corresponding medical certificate.

The lecture Economic and Financial Ethics (German) is offered by the Faculty of Theology (TF) and is creditable in the Economics and Management programme (3 Credits). Registered students will be informed directly by the TF about examination registration and modalities. Examination website TF
Applications for extended examination times (for Bachelor students only)
Please note that applications for extended examination times (for Bachelor students whose mother tongue is not German) must be submitted during the examination registration period using the online form . Late applications will not be considered. An approved application does not apply to the entire study duration: a new application must be resubmitted each semester.

Registering the completion of your degree
Are you planning to complete your degree this semester? If so, please fill out this form by 15 November 2020 at the latest. This is used for planning purposes only and is not binding.
You will receive an invitation to the graduation ceremony and be able to reserve your place once you have successfully completed your degree. The graduation ceremony will presumably take place on Friday 5 March 2020.
Deadline for the bachelor’s and master’s thesis
The fall semester 2020 deadline for submitting your bachelor’s and master’s thesis is Thursday 10 December 2020. You can find out more about other deadlines on the website under Examinations. The Guidelines for completing bachelor’s theses details what needs to be submitted by the deadline.

The Dean’s Office will contact you about the module options available to you (optional compulsory or specialisation). If you would like to study for a master’s degree in a different field, please contact the Student Administration Office at studiendiensteremove-this.@remove-this.unilu.ch.
