Dear Students
The current situation poses great challenges for all of us, whether privately, at university or at work. In recent weeks, the University of Lucerne and its faculties have made great efforts to ensure that courses can be held digitally. The feedback from lectures, exercises and seminars is positive. I am convinced that we are on the right track, even if there is still room for improvement.
The next challenge facing us all is the exams. Many basic conditions are still open, which is why we have to operate with different scenarios - from a regular to a digital execution to a time shift. All of these options have advantages and disadvantages, and they must be organized and coordinated with others. Therefore, at this point in time, I must ask you for a little patience regarding details about the examinations.
We will start registration for the exams as planned, but we will extend the period for this semester by one week.
In this infomail you will not only find the dates of the exam registration but also a lot of other important information about your studies. Please read them carefully. For students in their final semester there is a separate section with important information.
At present, everyone's health has top priority. With this in mind, I would like to encourage you to stay at home whenever you can, but also to support others, be it your fellow students, friends and relatives or people from the neighborhood. Use the tools provided, such as "zoom" or other digital communication tools to keep in touch. I wish you all the best and thank you for your commitment in this challenging situation.
Warm regards Prof. Dr. Christoph A. Schaltegger Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management

For Bachelor students only
-
Applications for extensions to examination timings: Please note that applications for extended examination times (for Bachelor students whose mother tongue is not German) must also be submitted during the examination registration period using the online form. Late applications will not be considered. An approved application does not apply to the entire study duration: a new application must be resubmitted each semester.
-
Bonus points towards resit examinations: In the faculty meeting of 17 February 2020 it was decided that after spring semester 2020 the bonus points from the exercises will be cancelled after each semester. In case of repetition (if the grade is insufficient or the exam is not taken) bonus points from the previous year cannot be taken over. Due to the current situation the bonus point system has already been adjusted in most cases during the current semester; students have been informed by their lecturers via OLAT.
