eVoting Best Teacher Award
Each year SOL organises the vote for the 'Best Teacher'. The 'Credit Suisse Best Teacher Award' recognises outstanding performance in education, training and in the development of the University of Lucerne’s students. This award shows appreciation for and rewards the teaching competence of the University of Lucerne's lecturers. The award will be presented as part of the Dies Academicus ceremony on the 10th November 2016. From the 3rd to the 8th October 2016 three finalists will be elected via eVoting. All students have the possibility to vote for their favourite lecturer online. The best lecturer from each faculty will then be short listed and an election committee comprising of students will then choose who should receive the 2016 Best Teacher Award. Messages from University Management
House rules and use of the canteen
At any one time there can be up to 4’000 people in the Uni/PH building. We therefore need to show consideration and respect for each other. The house rules help guide us on how to best achieve a good harmonious atmosphere in our building. I would like to address one point in particular: The canteen is often very busy over the lunch break. Please be considerate to others by ensuring that you do not use canteen spaces to study during lunchtime and please make sure you move away once you have finished your food. From the autumn semester 2016 lectures will also take place over the lunch time period. In this way, the use of the canteen is more spread out. You can help ease the situation further by avoiding the canteen during the busy period. A further point I would like to raise is the fact that our building only has one lift serving the main stairway. This lift is reserved for those persons who are dependent on its use. If you are physically capable, please use the stairs. Many thanks! (Esther Müller, Administrative Director)
