Institutional accreditation
The University of Lucerne’s process of institutional accreditation has passed another milestone. On Monday, 11th January 2021, the virtual pre-visit took place, during which the group of experts was informed by the accreditation agency AAQ about the Swiss higher education system and its tasks. Wolfgang Schatz and Bruno Staffelbach were able to briefly introduce the University of Lucerne. During the three-day on-site visit from 9th to 11th March 2021, which will also take place online, the group of experts will examine the quality assurance system of the University of Lucerne. In doing so, they will hold discussions with representatives of the most important groups of university staff (university management, mid-level faculty, students, teaching staff, administrative staff, technical staff etc.). The analysis of the expert group serves as the basis for the decision of the Accreditation Council.
The self-evaluation report of the University of Lucerne is available to all university members.
The timetable and further information on the accreditation process can be found on the QM website.
