Gerne bestätigen wir, dass alle Incoming- und Outgoing Mobilitäten zwischen der Universität Luzern und unseren britischen Partneruniversitäten, die vor dem 31. Oktober 2019 anfangen, über das Swiss-European Mobility Programm (SEMP) förderfähig sein werden. Für das Herbstsemester 2019 können demnach alle SEMP-Stipendien ausbezahlt werden. Für das Frühlingsemester 2020 wird es davon abhängen, ob Grossbritannien das Austrittsabkommen mit der EU am 31. Oktober annimmt oder nicht (DEAL- oder NO DEAL-Szenario). Auf CH-Ebene sind die nationale Agentur für Austausch und Mobilität Movetia, sowie das Staatssekretariat für Bildung, Forschung und Innovation SBFI bemüht, eine pragmatische Lösung für alle Beteiligten zu finden.

We would like to confirm that all incoming and outgoing student and staff mobilities between the University of Lucerne and our British partner universities commencing before the 31st October 2019 will be eligible for Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP) funding. All UK students studying with us in the autumn semester of 2019, as well as all Lucerne students studying at a UK university from September/October 2019 will thus receive their mobility grants as normal. The situation from the spring semester 2020 onwards will depend on whether the UK leaves the EU with or without a deal on the 31st October, but we are hopeful that the Swiss and UK authorities will be able to find a pragmatic solution.
