Oliver Prinzing

Oliver Prinzing studied at the Universities of Basel and Zurich, graduating with a degree in Economic History, Economics and Political Science in 2018. He then worked for several years in public policy analysis, engaged in various fields such as Economic Policy, Education and Energy Politics. Since 2023, Oliver Prinzing is a doctoral student in the project “Distributional Effects of Energy Policy Instruments: Perception and Preferences” funded by the SFOE’s EES program (Link: https://www.bfe.admin.ch/bfe/en/home/research-and-cleantech/research-programmes/energy-economy-society-ees.html) led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Balthasar.
The goal of the dissertation is to elicit fairness principles held by the Swiss population regarding potential carbon taxes. Furthermore, the dissertation analyses the impact of these principles on the political acceptance of carbon taxes.
