Faculty of Economics and Management
The University of Lucerne is a modern, personal and dynamic human sciences university at the heart of Switzerland and Europe. In keeping with our guiding principle 'Moving Human Sciences', we focus on people and their institutions with our six faculties and two academies, soon to be joined by two university research centres. Our aim is to develop the University of Lucerne into a pioneering, internationally visible centre for research and teaching in the human sciences.

We invite applications for a
PhD or Postdoc position in Empirical political economics or environmental economics(in the research group of Professor Simon Luechinger)
Tasks
- The successful applicant will participate in graduate courses and write a doctoral thesis.
- She or he will be part of a strongly research-oriented team in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- The position comes with some light teaching and research assistance obligations.
Requirements
- Applicants should hold a first-rate master's degree in economics, have excellent skills in applied econometrics, and have a strong interest in one of the subject areas mentioned above.
- Further, applicants should have basic knowledge of German or be willing to acquire German language skills to be able to teach bachelor-level microeconomics tutorials from fall 2025 on.
The terms of employment are subject to cantonal regulations.
