Joint Medical Master UniLU-UZH
Around 40 students per year start their master's degree in human medicine at the University of Lucerne, which is offered in collaboration with the University of Zurich. In the practice-oriented undergraduate education, students learn about relevant conditions and diseases as well as the tasks and roles of physicians in the different healthcare sectors. The goal of the study program is the successful completion of the Federal Licensing Exam which is a prerequisite for the postgraduate, continuing medical education. The curriculum focuses on primary health care, interprofessional collaboration and health systems science. The courses take place mainly in the region of Central Switzerland and, due to the cohort size, involve a lot of interactive small group and bed-side teaching. There is a close exchange between students, lecturers and the study center.
