Sociology covers modern society, its operation, its development, its structures and its organisation, as well as its problems. The task of sociologists is to generate knowledge regarding social phenomena and problems. Sociology is also a basic science and an applied science with many professional fields. Bachelor’s students are given scientifically-sound training in how to observe, describe and explain social phenomena.
