Philosophy
The Bachelor's programme offered by the Department of Philosophy provides first-class basic scientific training which serves both as a requirement for a subsequent Master’s programme and as the basis for further professional qualifications. Students of Philosophy gain well-honed problem-solving skills, flexible thinking and analytically trained reasoning skills – and therefore also the essential ability to understand and more adequately assess obscure connections in an increasingly complex world. The Department of Philosophy offers a broad and varied range of courses in the fields of Theoretical Philosophy (e.g. philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, epistemology), Practical Philosophy (e.g. moral philosophy, political philosophy, social philosophy) and the History of Philosophy.
