Swiss Philosophy Doctoral Students Day
Our PHD students David Anzalone and Davide Falessi were in Basel to discuss their research with colleagues from other swiss universities.
On 26th February our doctoral students David Anzalone and Davide Falessi participated at in the first Swiss Doctoral Students' Day in Philosophy at the University of Basel. The initiative is part of a growing network of Swiss doctoral students in philosophy that emerged during the lockdown. The aim of this and other future initiatives is to bring doctoral students in philosophy together with the aim for the purpose of scientific and professional exchange.
16 students including Anzalone (left) and Falessi (right) spoke about their research in a poster presentation. Prof. Markus Wild, member of the SNSF research council gave us a keynote lecture on the plurality of philosophical research in Switzerland and moderated a discussion concerning plurilinguism and cultural diversity in Swiss philosophy. On that occasion he offered plenty of professional advice to the students and as a way to encourage exchange among them the day was topped off with an informal apero!
