Over 100 students successfully complete HRM lecture
This spring semester the lecture Human Resource Management was held for the fourth time at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Lucerne.
The biggest difference to previous semesters was that teaching at the University of Lucerne switched from face-to-face to digital mode in mid-March 2020. The HRM course was broadcasted live in zoom, recorded and then uploaded to SwitchTube, making it accessible to students. Prof. Dr. Bruno Staffelbach, supported by Naemi Jacob and Sandra Furrer, introduced more than 100 students to the basics of human resource management. In addition to the theoretical basics, practical knowledge was also imparted by means of guest lectures. Matthias Moelleney introduced the students to motivation management from a practical point of view. Dr. Stephan Hostettler gave a lecture on the topic "wage systems for managers" and Dr. Eva-Maria Aulich gave an introduction to "decision errors in HRM". In the case studies, students also had the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained to concrete practical examples. After the examination at the beginning of June, the semester break is now starting.
