The “Ethics of Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence” project is headed by Peter G. Kirchschläger, Professor of Theological Ethics and Head of ISE. It strives for an ethical reflection on the current technology-based change, which is described by the terms “digital transformation”, “digitization”, “robotization”, “automation”, “machinization”, “artificial intelligence” and “data society and economy”.

Identify ethical opportunities and risks

The aim is to precisely identify the ethical opportunities and risks of digital transformation in international research and teaching cooperation. The aim of this project is to promote both international networking and young academics at the Swiss university location in a targeted manner through international cooperation and the conscious involvement of young scientists.

Peter G. Kirchschläger elected to the Board of Trustees and as co-editor

Peter G. Kirchschläger was also elected to the Board of Trustees of the Swiss Foundation of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. This is an association dedicated to promoting scientific and social progress.

Furthermore, he is now co-editor of the scientific journal "AI Perspectives", which deals with the application of artificial intelligence in industry, healthcare, transport, education, the social sciences and humanities as well as in business and economics. This includes research on responsibility, ethics, explainability and transparency of artificial intelligence.
