New Study Programme: Dual Master's Degree in Political Science
The University of Lucerne and Carleton University of Ottawa (Canada) now jointly offer a master’s programme in political science. The programme is due to start in fall 2018.
On the one hand there is the small, but widely connected Department of Political Science at the University of Lucerne, on the other hand one of the largest in Canada: the Department of Political Science at Carleton University. The two departments jointly offer a master's study programme starting in fall 2018. This cooperation has resulted in a comprehensive and unique selection of courses and scientific perspectives.
The dual master's degree programme allows students to get familiar with two different academic environments and two approaches to research in political science. The study programme does not envisage a minor and comprises 120 ECTS. Students receive a Canadian as well as a Swiss certificate upon graduation.
Courses both in Canada and in Switzerland are taught in English. Therefore, the study programme is especially suitable for students planning to pursue an academic career or work in an international environment – in the public, private, or non-profit sector.
