Training at the University of Lucerne
Within the SEMP (Erasmus) Programme, staff from our SEMP (Erasmus) partner institutions are able to spend a period of training (of at least 2 days and a maximum of 2 weeks) at the University of Lucerne. Grants for these training periods are paid and administered by the University of Lucerne's Mobility Office.
Applications are dealt with on a rolling basis and are dependant on free capacity and sufficient funds. Please contact the Mobility Office of the University of Lucerne to check whether there are funds still available.
Signing of a Bilateral SEMP Agreement with the University of Lucerne
Staff mobility with the University of Lucerne can only take place within the basis of a bilateral SEMP (Erasmus) agreement. Please consult the International Relations Office of your home university for further information on the signing of new agreements.
Contact the Corresponding Department of the University of Lucerne
As soon as the bilateral SEMP agreement has been signed, or if such an agreement already exists, interested staff should contact the respective department of the University of Lucerne in order to settle the conditions and organisation of the exchange (time period of exchange, duration and schedule, possible working space etc.).
The Mobility Office of the University of Lucerne does not place staff from a SEMP partner university at departments within the University of Lucerne. Staff, wanting to undertake an exchange, are themselves responsible for the organisation of the exchange.
Application to Undertake an Exchange
Once the organisation of the exchange has been completed with the corresponding department of the University of Lucerne, the staff member has to file his/her formal application to the Mobility Office at the University of Lucerne.
Financial Support
Until Switzerland rejoins the Erasmus+ programme, the interim programme SEMP allows the University of Lucerne to offer financial support to incoming staff from SEMP partner institutions. The rules governing the level of financial support are in line with those of the Erasmus+ programme. Please contact the Mobility Office at the University of Lucerne for more information in this regard.
