After successful formal admission to the University of Lucerne, personal enrollment takes place at the Admissions Office upon arrival in Lucerne. To complete this step, you will receive a personal invitation from the Admissions Office (room 4.A07) - please keep this appointment.
The International Relations Office (IRO) is your central contact point for all questions regarding administrative tasks that have to be completed in Switzerland. The office is located in the main university building on the 4th floor, room 4.A21.

Workshop Intercultural Communication Skills
In the fall semester 2024 the University of Lucerne together with the Institute of Communication & Leadership (Lucerne) will offer a workshop on intercultural communication ; one of the main objectives of this workshop is to develop strategies to deal with intercultural challenges when studying and working at the University of Lucerne.

The Erasmus Student Network is a European student organisation, that supports and constantly develops student exchange. With over 540 local sections at universities in over 40 countries (thereof 15 in Switzerland ) the network strongly encourages the integration of exchange students in their respective guest countries, regardless of their background and how they join ESN. Besides from events and excursions organized for international students, ESN promotes mobility opportunities and accessible Higher Education possibilities for students with disabilities via the long-term project ExchangeAbility. With SocialErasmus, another international project by the Erasmus Student Network, ESN promotes a social attitude among young citizens participating in mobility programmes, to facilitate their integration into the local community whilst giving them the chance to make a long lasting social change in society through volunteering activities.

At the Campus daycare center (Kita Campus) childcare places are available to students, staff and lecturers of the three universities (University of Lucerne, the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) and the University of Teacher Education (PHLU). The Kita Campus accepts children from the age of three months until they reach kindergarten age; opening hours are from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.
