Note
The following data protection statement provides information on the type, scope and purpose of the personal data we collect, and the rights to which you are entitled in this context. The statement is based on the applicable Swiss data protection law (in particular the Data Protection Act of the Canton of Lucerne - SRL 38) and - where applicable - the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union.
Collection of personal data when visiting our website www.unilu.ch
In principle, our website can be used without disclosing personal data, i.e. data that can be traced back to you personally. Certain data, such as IP addresses and other usage information, are automatically collected, evaluated anonymously and processed by our web analysis software.
Cookies
When you use our website, cookies from third parties are stored on your computer. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer, mobile phone or other device when you visit a website. Cookies cannot run programs or transmit viruses to your computer. The purpose of these cookies is in particular the statistical evaluation of the use of our website and the optimised placement of advertising on third-party sites (see paragraph Google Analytics and Google Adwords).
SSL encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption procedures via HTTPS.
Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a service of Google Inc, for statistical analysis of visitor access. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website (including the IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. The IP address is shortened to the last three digits, so that a clear assignment of the IP address is no longer possible. Google observes the data protection provisions of the "Swiss-US Privacy Shield" and is certified by the US Department of Commerce for the "Swiss-US Privacy Shield". The information collected by Google Analytics is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website and internet use.
In addition, we use remarketing lists from Google Analytics. Remarketing lists allow visitors to our website to be retargeted by targeted advertising on the pages of the Google partner network and the Google search network. The display of the advertising also takes place via cookies.
If you do not want your data to be used in Google Analytics, you can install the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics. This will prevent your data from being analysed in Google Analytics via the Google Analytics JavaScript code executed on websites.
Google Adwords
On our website, we use the online web programme "Google AdWords", a service of Google Inc. based in the USA, and the conversion tracking option contained in this programme. When you access our website via a Google ad, Google AdWords places a conversion cookie in your browser, which enables us to compile statistics on the use of our website. This conversion cookie loses its validity after 90 days at the latest and is not used to identify the user.
Further information on conversion tracking, in particular how you can prevent the collection of data by the cookie set by Google, can be found via the following link: services.google.com/sitestats/en.html.
Facebook Remarketing
We use the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function of the US company Facebook Inc. and the Irish company Facebook Ireland Ltd. on our website. This function enables us to target users of our website with advertising by displaying personalised, interest-related Facebook ads for them when they visit the Facebook social network. To carry out this function, the Facebook remarketing tag is implemented on our website. Via these tags, a direct connection to the Facebook servers is established when visiting our website. Facebook assigns information about the use of our website to your personal Facebook user account. For more information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard and ways to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook's privacy policy. If you do not want Facebook to assign the collected information directly to your Facebook user account, you can deactivate the "Custom Audiences" remarketing function. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.
Google Tag Manager
The services listed above for evaluating visitor traffic and optimising advertising are integrated via Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager is a solution from the company Google Inc. based in the USA, with which website tags can be managed via an interface. The Tag Manager tool itself (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at the domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager. Usage guidelines for Google Tag Manager
Contact forms and newsletters
When you contact us by e-mail or via a contact form, or register for one of our newsletters, the data you voluntarily provide (e.g. name, address, e-mail address) will be stored by us. The transmitted data will not be passed on to third parties - unless the passing on of the data is required by law (e.g. in the context of criminal proceedings).
Your rights
You have the right to assert your data protection rights at any time and to request information about whether, and which, personal data about you are being processed by us. To exercise your rights and if you have any questions about data protection on our website, please contact us:
