Maren Bartels started as a research assistant and PhD student at the University of Luzern in September 2020. She works within the SNF project «Uncertainty, Beliefs, and Crises in Macroeconomics» at the Chair of International Economics under the supervision of Prof. Manuel Oechslin. Her general research interests lies in the fields of Macroeconomics, Behavioural Economics and Political Economics with a special interest in their interrelations and a focus on an international context. Maren Bartels successfully completed her B.Sc. in International Economics at the University of Tübingen in 2018, including a semester at the Università degli studi di Perugia. During her studies she worked in the financial controlling department at the headquarter of Global Powertrain Trucks, Daimler AG and completed an internship at the Institute for Applied Economic Research at the University of Tübingen. She continued with a double degree in Economics and Econometrics (M.Sc.) at the University of Nottingham and Economics (M.Sc.) at the University of Konstanz where she also worked as a teaching assistant in Macroeconomics.
