Professorship of Old Testament Exegesis

In Christianity, the books of the Hebrew Bible (together with a few other ancient Jewish texts handed down in Greek) form the ‘Old Testament’, the essential first part of the two-part Christian Bible. The aim of ‘Old Testament exegesis’ is to academically examine the Old Testament canon and its writings from a historical, religious historical, philological and/or literary perspective, and make its various theologies understandable for modern readers.
