Interest in religion has risen sharply in recent decades. According to the Pew Research Center, the proportion of non-believers will fall from 16% to 12.5% by 2060. Nevertheless, many academic philosophy programmes are agnostic and neglect the importance of the topic of God and the role of monotheistic religions. Often these programmes focus on philosophical issues and problems without considering the historical context or addressing the millennia-long interrelationship between philosophy and religion, particularly in the ancient world and within Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
The online Master's in Philosophy, Theology and Religions (PhilTeR) closes these gaps. The programme explores the relationship between philosophy and religion both historically and theoretically. Through its online format, it appeals to an international student body and offers a global faculty of leading experts in philosophy and theology.
