Pascal Theis grew up in the canton of Solothurn and attended the compulsory elementary school as well as the secondary school until 2011, majoring in business and law. After completing his military service as a continuous serviceman and after a temporary employment in the Swiss Armed Forces, he began studying law at the University of Bern in the fall semester of 2013. He graduated with a Master of Law (MLaw) in the spring semester of 2019. During his studies, he worked as a teacher at a business school and as a tutor at the University of Bern. The subsequent legal internships in Bern, Solothurn and Zurich lasted from October 2019 to December 2021. He then worked as a court clerk at the Civil and Criminal Division of the Solothurn-Lebern Court of first instance from February 2022 to January 2025. In the meantime, he passed the bar exam in the Canton of Solothurn in May 2024. Since January 2025, he has been working as an employee or research assistant with a dissertation project at the chair of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Rütsche.
