Mirjam Signer grew up in Häggenschwil (SG). She completed her commercial apprenticeship in 2010 and obtained her vocational baccalaureate in 2011. In autumn 2012, she began her bachelor's degree in business law (BSc Business Law) at the ZHAW in Winterthur and graduated in summer 2016. She then began her studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Lucerne, where she successfully completed her MLaw in 2019. During her studies at the University of Lucerne, Mirjam Signer worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Corporate Law and as a legal assistant at a law firm in Winterthur, where she also completed her legal internship after graduating. From 2019 to 2021, she was an auditor and extraordinary court clerk at the District Court of Rorschach (SG). After successfully completing her licence to practise as a lawyer and notary in St. Gallen, she worked as a lawyer and public notary in a law firm in Winterthur and Frauenfeld from 2021 to 2024. Since November 2024, Mirjam Signer has been working as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Rütsche. She is also doing her doctoral degree as part of the SNF project «culturally sensitive medical law».
