Cedric Herbst was born in 2004 in Emmen (LU), Switzerland. After completing the Swiss federal baccalaureate with a focus on economics and law, he began studying law at the University of Lucerne in September 2022.

He has been a scholarship holder of the Swiss Study Foundation since 2022 and a member of the primius talent promotion program of the Faculty of Law at the University of Lucerne since 2024.

Since February 1, 2025, he has been working as a research assistant at the chair of Professor Dr. Klaus Mathis.
