The focus areas of the Chair of Prof. Vagias Karavas are legal sociology, legal theory, private law (especially the Swiss Civil Code), biomedicine law and the law of new technologies.

At Bachelor level, Prof. Karavas teaches Legal Foundational Subjects I and II. At Masters level, he offers classes in legal sociology, biomedicine law and the law of new technologies.

The Chair also regularly organises events in collaboration with the Institute for Research in the Fundaments of Law (lucernaiuris).
