Sarah Masoud studied law at the University of Zurich and at Maastricht University (Netherlands). During her studies, she completed an internship at a Swiss human rights organisation. She graduated with a Master of Law from the University of Zurich in 2016.
After completing her master's degree, Sarah Masoud accepted a position as a postgraduate trainee at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation at the Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs. In 2018, she started a legal traineeship at a district court in the canton of Zurich and subsequently worked as a law clerk.
Since January 2020, Sarah Masoud has been working as a teaching and research assistant for Prof. Dr. Sebastian Heselhaus. She teaches Swiss constitutional law and fundamental rights. In October 2022, she was elected to the Teaching and Evaluation Commission of the Faculty of Law as representative for teaching assistants.
Sarah Masoud’s main research interests include public international law, particularly human rights law, and public law, particularly fundamental rights and constitutional law. She is writing her doctoral thesis in the field of business and human rights.
