Agatha Brandão de Oliveira is a Brazilian and Portuguese-qualified lawyer. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Federal University of Espírito Santo and a Master in Economic Law degree from Sciences Po Law School, Paris, where she graduated with Honours.
Agatha has worked at the University of Lucerne since 2019 and is writing a doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Daniel Girsberger. She worked as a Senior Researcher for the Swiss National Sciences Foundation (SNSF) Project “The Hague Principles and Beyond” (2019-2021), acted as the Director of Studies for the CAS in Arbitration (2019-2020) and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for the Private International Law, Business Law, Procedural Law and Comparative Law Chair (2021-2023).
Agatha now coordinates the SNSF Project "Choice of Law Dataverse: promoting transparency and access in private international law data" (2023-2026). The research activities were initially financed by the FoKo Start-up Funding. This project also counts on the Provost's administrative support.
