Professor Andreas Furrer
Andreas Furrer has been a Professor of Private Law, Comparative Law, Private International Law and European Law at the University of Lucerne since it was founded. His research projects and teaching today focus primarly on issues related to the digitalisation of law with a focus on blockchain, AI and Web3Metaverses, related to transport and logistics law.
Andreas Furrer is the Director of the Center for Logistics and Transport Law KOLT, was Vice-Director for Research at the University of Lucerne from 2006-2010 and founded and headed the primius scholarship programm.
In addition to his professorshio, Andreas Furrer was a consultant at Pestalozzi Lachenal Patry from 2000 to 2007, a partner at MME law firm in Zurich and Zug from 2007 until 2020 and was CLO at Zenotta AG from 2020 to 2023, where he was responsible for setting up and expanding the Zenotta legal framework. He has been Special Consel at MLL Meyerlustenberger Lachenal Froriep AG since 2023.
