After completing her apprenticeship and vocational baccalaureate, Fabienne Rast began a Bachelor's degree in Business Law at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Winterthur, which she completed in July 2022. During her studies, she gained valuable practical experience, including as a legal assistant at a law firm in Winterthur.

She then continued her studies at the University of Lucerne and, after successfully passing the required bridging examinations, completed her Master's degree in Law in early 2025.

From March 2024 to February 2025, Fabienne Rast worked as an undergraduate research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Martina Caroni, LL.M. (Yale), during her Master's degree. Since March 2025, she has been working at the same chair as a research assistant and doctoral candidate.
