CV

Tamara Bosshardt is working as a postdoc on Dr. Carol Ammann's project on queer parenthood in Switzerland. The research project investigates how queer people start families, how they experience their everyday family life, and what challenges and needs they have in a society that is primarily geared toward heteronormative families.

Tamara Bosshardt studied sociology, modern history, and economic history at the University of Zurich. This was followed by a dissertation on intergenerational financial transfers in Switzerland. The monograph “Geld, Generation und Ungleichheit” (Springer VS), published in 2024, shows how financial solidarity between adults and their parents reduces inequalities within families but contributes to an overall increase in inequality between families.
