Courses and Workshops
Program FS 25
The GSL Forum takes place for the first time in the middle of this spring semester. It offers the opportunity to get to know each other's dissertation projects, to exchange ideas and to network. In 10-minute presentations, doctoral students will give an insight into their research - in a more informal way, based on a problem, material or object they are currently working on. The short presentations can be credited as one of the GSL achievements (presentation in a colloquium). This will be followed by an aperitif and dinner. For more information and the Doodle link to find a date, please send an email to: ines.barner@unilu.ch.
The GSL Writing Service works with interested doctoral students on topics related to writing their dissertation. In four to eight sessions during the semester the focus is on self-chosen topics such as ''Anfange'', ''Die eigene Stimme und die Stimmen der Anderen'', ''Von Daten zum Text'', ''Überarbeiten und abgeben''. This will be done through sharing experiences, using examples from your own writing project and through exercises.

The Alpenhof is an extraordinary place with a fantastic view and interior design that we are allowed to use exclusively for us this year - including the roof terrace, library and full catering. All rooms are available for individual use. Space is limited, so it's best to register as soon as possible. The retreat will be accompanied by our writing coach and an English Academic Writing Program. Participation in the writing coaching is purely voluntary, and it is possible to use the time to work on your dissertation.
Deadline for registration: April 13, 2025
