Marino Ferri, born in Zurich, studied German Literature and Cultural Studies at University of Zurich (B.A.). He graduated afterwards from the integrated M.A. programme Cultural Studies at the University of Lucerne. After graduation he won a one-year scholarship from the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Lucerne (GSL). As fellow of the Swiss National Science Foundation (Doc.CH scholarship) Marino Ferri currently works on a PhD in History at University of Lucerne. He is a full-time member of interdisciplinary graduate programme “Migration and Postcoloniality meet Switzerland” (Université de Fribourg). His research interests include historical refugee and forced migration studies, university and student history, Cold War and Decolonization studies, as well as transnational/entangled histories.
