Sam holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in World Society and Global Governance from the University of Lucerne. He received his PhD from the European University Institute in Florence in 2021. To complete his doctorate, he was a fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen, Germany. During his studies he also worked as a research associate in various projects. After being a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer (Oberassistent) and research associate at the Department of Political Science here in Lucerne, he is a team member of the Grants Office and programme manager and study advisor of LUMACSS and coordinates the Digital Skills offer.
