The Center for Clinical Research (CCR) is an Associated Institute of the University of Lucerne. The CCR is based at the Cantonal Hospital of Lucerne (Luzerner Kantonsspital – LUKS), it includes notably the Clinical Trial Unit, a joint collaboration between the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine at the University of Lucerne and the LUKS. The mission of the CCR is to support and develop high-quality clinical research for the LUKS and for the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine.

The CCR assists researchers in the planning of clinical research projects as well in the methodology, regulatory affairs, general conduct and biostatistical analysis. The CCR also assists researchers in the acquisition of research funding. The CCR aims at training researchers in the field of medicine and health sciences, notably students and young scholars, to develop skills in clinical research. The CCR is committed to at developing its own research activities in the field of clinical trials and health data research.
