Professor Gunesh Rajan ,MD, DM, FSCS, FRACS completed his Otolarynology training at the ENT Dept., University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland, followed by Head & Neck and Neurotology-Skull-base fellowships in Barcelona, Spain & Perth, Australia. He then worked as Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Western Australia, in 2008 he was appointed as Professor & Head of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Western Australia. In 2018 he returned to Switzerland as Co-Chairman at the Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery LUKS and Director of the Central Head & Neck Tumor Centre LUKS. He is visiting faculty for Otology, Neurotology & Skull base surgery at the ENT Dept., Kuala Lumpur, University of Malaysia, the Mazumdar-Shaw Cancer Centre, Bangalore, India and at the AIMS University Hospital, Cochin, India. Prof. Rajan is internationally recognised for his clinical expertise and research in the treatment of tumors of the head & neck, skull base and for his pioneering work in the field of auditory implantation. Prof. Rajan has published over 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals and attracted over 3 M AUD in research funding. As supervisor of training, board examiner and medical leadership stewart Prof.Rajan is also heavily involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
