Swiss Human Relations Barometer 2012
Misconduct and courage
According to the Swiss Human Relations Barometer 2012, about half of the respondents have slightly misbehaved at least once within the last year. Most frequently, people fantasize and daydream too much, take an extra or longer break, or don't exert themselves enough at work, write Prof. Gudela Grote of ETH Zurich and Prof. Bruno Staffelbach of the University of Zurich in the seventh edition of the HR Barometer. Overall, 4 percent of respondents report serious misconduct at work. One in four respondents say they have discussed confidential company information with an unauthorized person at least once within the past year. One in eight respondents have procrastinated at least once to book overtime, and one in fifty have falsified at least one receipt to get more money within the last year.
