Andrew Gloster is Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Lucerne, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Behavioral Sciences and Psychology, and Director of Clinical Training of the post-graduate training program in Process-based Psychotherapy. Before coming to Lucerne, he was an SNSF-Professor at the University of Basel. He also held senior research positions and post-doctoral fellowships at the University of Basel and the Technical University of Dresden. He completed his Ph.D. and clinical training at the Eastern Michigan University and the University of Texas and obtained his undergraduate degree from Boston University.
His main research interests include psychotherapy processes, treatment outcome (including treatment non-response), mental health, digital interventions, methodological innovations in clinical trials, and prosocial behavior. His research aims to promote mental health in various contexts, and to develop tools that aid psychotherapist in their work. He is licensed psychotherapist and an impassioned mentor. He is president of the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), where he is also a Fellow.
