Dario Cazzoli will become Associate Professor of Neuropsychology at the University of Lucerne from the 1st of May 2025. After studying at the Universities of Fribourg and Bern, he worked as a doctoral student at the Perception and Eye Movement Laboratory at the Inselspital in Bern and was also accepted into the Graduate School "Neuroscience" of the BeNeFri network, where he obtained his PhD in 2011. This was followed by a three-year post-doctoral research stay at the University of Oxford (England). In 2014, he returned to the University of Bern, where he held an SNSF Ambizione Fellowship at the ARTORG Centre in the field of Gerontechnology and Rehabilitation. From 2016, he also worked as a clinical neuropsychologist at the Inselspital Bern. Since 2020, he has been Head of Neurovisual Rehabilitation at the Clinic for Neurology and Neurorehabilitation at Lucerne Cantonal Hospital. In 2021, he completed his habilitation in neuropsychology at the University of Bern. In his research, Dario Cazzoli investigates the neuronal mechanisms, diagnostics, and therapeutic approaches of cognitive disorders after brain injury, with a particular interest in neurovisual disorders.
