Farewell Lecture Prof. Jerome Bickenbach: The Future of Health
In his farewell lecture, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jerome Bickenbach will address the topic of "The Future of Health." The program will consist of a lecture, followed by a panel discussion.

With his academic background in philosophy and law, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jerome Bickenbach has further developed the conceptual foundations of health, functioning and rehabilitation sciences. Above all, he is the scientific mind behind the WHO's International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), which was introduced in 2001.
Jerome Bickenbach was involved in the introductory foundation course in the Master's programme in Health Sciences in 2013 and received an honorary doctorate (Doctor honoris causa) in Health Sciences and Medicine from the University of Lucerne in 2020.
Following Prof. Bickenbach's lecture, a panel discussion will be held on the topic. The following participants will take part in the discussion: Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jerome Bickenbach, Prof. Dr. Gerold Stucki, Prof. Dr. Carla Sabariego, and Dr. Sarah Mantwill. The panel discussion will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Sara Rubinelli.
The event is open to the public and free of charge, registration is required until 17 October 2024. The lecture and discussion will be held in English. Afterwards we cordially invite you to an aperitif riche.
