This conference aims to examine the methodological and philosphical foundations of law and economics in general and in particular efficiency, reciprocity, and meritocracy and their relation to law and justice from and interdisciplinary perspective. Subsequently, the results of the conference will be published in the Academic Springer Series Economics Analysis of Law in European Legal Scholarship.
Entire Conference
You are welcome to participate in the entire conference (Friday and Saturday). The conference starts on Friday morning with three keynote addresses. In the afternoon, four panels on the topics Efficiency, Reciprocity and Meritocracy will take place. On Saturday morning, the Public Panel on Meritocracy (incl. Apéro Riche) which is also part of the conference program is scheduled (see below). The conference will be concluded on Saturday afternoon with the Notre Dame Exchange Panel.
Public Panel on „Meritocracy“
Alternatively, you also have the opportunity to participate only in the Public Panel on "Meritocracy" (Saturday morning). The Public Panel will start with the presentations of the keynote speakers. Subsequently, there will be a one-hour panel discussion with the three speakers. Finally, all participants and conference guests are invited to an Apéro Riche in the foyer of the University of Lucerne.
