In order to ensure that temperatures in the lecture rooms and library remain comfortable during the summer months, an air conditioning system has been put into operation for summer 2015. The system works by cooling the outside air before it enters the rooms. Lower room temperatures can however only be sustained as long as the windows remain shut. If the system detects that temperatures outside the building are higher than internal temperatures, then warm air is pumped into the rooms instead. A sufficient supply of fresh air can be guaranteed via the air conditioning system.
